Real Art welcomes Lauren Valko as the newest addition to our team. She is a Motion Graphics Producer/Video Specialist working out of Real Art’s Dayton headquarters. Lauren is excited and eager to make a metaphorical splash in the Real Art creative pool.
Lauren comes to Real Art from Wright State University’s Distance Education team, where she honed her skills spearheading motion design and animation as a tool for improving student connection with online course material. Prior to that, she interned with NBC Universal’s Bravo Graphic Design team. Lauren graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Digital Media (Special Effects, Animation, and Game Development).
Lauren developed a passion for visual storytelling at a young age. She’s always appreciated the way subtle motion can evince strong emotion, and strives to incorporate that into the work she does on a daily basis. Using the guiding principles of animation, Lauren works hard to breathe life into static content. She is constantly driven to inspire and be inspired—always fascinated by new exciting styles and techniques.
Lauren’s interest in animation is both personal and professional. She is constantly seeking opportunities to expand her skills, regularly attending evening drawing classes and seeking out new artistic styles. When she’s not drawing, drafting or doodling, she’s exploring new worlds, delving into fiction, fantasy, and the occasional video game.
